01. Do not overload order status

Section 1 of 3

Order status alone rarely captures real enterprise fulfillment. Use clear lifecycle states and custom fields where appropriate, but keep fulfillment orchestration in the OMS if warehouse allocation, split shipments, substitutions, and carrier events are complex.
